What are the steps to make a deposit?

• No, iStream Deposit® doesn’t interfere with your existing bank relationship(s). In fact, you will see certain fees charged by your bank disappear (i.e. check deposit fees, return fees, etc). There is no requirement to change your bank relationship(s) to use iStream Deposit®. The funds will simply be paid to your account of choice upon initial set up.

What happens to the check once I scan and submit the deposit?

• iStream Deposit®  requests you securely store the check for 14 days from deposit date, then securely destroy the check items.

How do I know if my deposit was received by iStream?

• The instant you “submit” the deposit, with the appropriate access, you can view the information in real time online anywhere at anytime. Corporate in Milwaukee, WI, can even look at the check images you just deposited from San Diego, CA!

How does the money get into my account?

• iStream Financial Services receives the encrypted file, performs Quality Assurance proofing the deposit. A x9.37 file (Check 21 format) is then created and sent via FedForward to The Federal Reserve. Upon payment from the Federal Reserve, we then ACH the funds into your requested bank account(s).

How long will it take to find out about a returned (NSF) Check?

• You can be notified about returns in as little as 48 hours. Our average time is about 3 days. We are one of a few organizations that are using the FedReceipt for Returns programs which makes the processing of return items electronic. Other RDC solutions still send returned checks or IRDs in the mail delaying the process of funds collection.

What happens if I have a Returned (NSF) Check?

• The iReturn™ system notifies your account in real time when a return occurs. No more waiting for the returned paper check in the mail. As soon as iStream knows about a return, you will know about a return via email (you can even send it to your Blackberry or other Smart Phone) and/or upon logging into the system. To see the return, login to the system and simply click on the returned item to see the check image and click resubmit. It’s completely paperless and instant; saving you days and speeding up your time to collect on funds. With other solutions checks or IRDs (Image Replacement Documents)are sent in the mail slowing down the process to collect funds.

How late can I make a deposit?

• You can make deposits anytime, however our daily cut off is 8pm CST for a days processing.

Does iStream Deposit® work with my accounting software?

• iStream Deposit® can work with any accounting or data base management program as long as there’s an ability to import a file. Our solution offers standard file formats for export on demand in CSV and XLS files. We can also work and create custom file formats.
