I am sending this letter to express my pleasure and satisfaction with iStream Imaging and your Remote Deposit Capture product, iStream Deposit.
We established a few test locations using iStream Deposit in August 2006 for product evaluation. We have had successful results and are in the process of implementing iStream Deposit into additional locations. With remote deposit capture, we efficiently process thousands of checks, worth millions of dollars, each month.
The financial benefits have been impressive. We are experiencing a faster receipt of collected funds. Additionally, since our POS software integrates with iStream Deposit, the ability to perform a single-scan for multiple systems saves time at the window and reduces teller errors. We have experienced these impressive benefits without changing work flow or installing additional equipment. Moreover, customer and maker information are compared and updated automatically using data from presented checks. This helps in the identification of “bad check” risks; thus decreasing the number of returned items.
Your product has saved us both time and money. In fact, we have significantly reduced our armored carrier bills since we no longer need a daily physical pickup of cancelled checks. In addition, we have eliminated the need to prepare checks for pick-up by the armored service. With the remote deposit system, we now have the benefit of good funds with considerably faster notification of returned items or deposit errors.
In summary, we like the tightly integrated remote deposit system, including our single, point-of-sale system that automatically submits all items via Check 21. The iReturn product provides timely electronic notification of returned items allowing immediate redeposit or manual collection of funds, thus helping to reduce losses. Other unforeseen benefits include secure access to check images for seven years (eliminating our need to store paper) along with the ability to sort and print copies for collection and audit purposes.
Your product is far more efficient and timely than our previous paper-based banking practices. It allows us to manage multiple locations from any computer at any time of day. We can view accounts at the office, after normal business hours, or even while on vacation.
